These two were the absolute sweetest. You know when you meet people and you can just tell they are inherently kind? Easy going, laidback and trusting- they had the best day ever. Originally planning a big wedding, they decided along the way that a smaller, more intimate and meaningful day was more their style and I couldn't agree more.
The day started with getting ready with Brendan and a few of his family members at their new home where they would be hosting their reception. From there, it was getting ready photos with Jaeden at a family property where they would be having their ceremony.
It was then time for their ceremony and you could just feel the excitement. It was in the air and all around. They planned to say their vows on a dock sitting on Langford Lake with family sitting close by on the lawn. It made for a such beautiful backdrop and a totally unique setting.
After a brief cocktail hour, toasts and family portraits and a little paddle around the lake in their newlywed adorned boat, it was time to explore together for a short hike and their bridal portraits. The weather was beautiful, I-do's had been said and we were ready to capture more gorgeous memories for the two of them. We took our time exploring, stopping for private vows and making our way up the mountain, down to the beach and back. Let this be a reminder to you- your day can be anything you want it to be. These two knew that going with the flow, trusting the process, allowing the day to unfold in a calm and unhurried way would bring them the experience of a lifetime. Controlling every moment, stuffing your timeline full of plans isn't going to lend to the best experience. It's going to create stress, and these two avoided that completely.
Their day ended with a quiet reception of their nearest and dearest and I think their day truly reflected them and their priorities. It's no secret that I adore my couples and always strive for the best experience and the most representative images of your day and these two were no exception. It was such an honour and a pleasure to be there with them for this once-in-a-lifetime day.
