Superior Farms, Nanoose Bay Wedding | Zoe & Lucas

A gorgeous outdoor inspired day planned for the fall. These two cherished fall and the warm colours of autumn. We leaned into the moody, romantic vibes and it was just spectacular.

Their coverage started with getting ready photos at a gorgeous Airbnb in Nanoose Bay. As I was entering the suite I noticed this gorgeous arbour and walk way and thought it was the perfect place to hang Zoe's dress for some shots. Thats the thing about new venues. I'm often asked "have you photographed at our venue before?" and sure, experience in a space is something to be considered, however, some of my best images have been created in brand-new-to-me spaces. There's nothing better for creativity than creating in a new space.

After the getting ready was complete, we went to Moorecroft Park which is a beautiful place for portraits. Rocky oceanside and forest, it's a lovely setting and was totally perfect for these two and their vision. After their first look we captured their portraits and wedding party photos. It was the perfect fall day. Their wedding attire was colourful and unique which was a stunning contrast with the colours of the forest.

Their ceremony was nestled in a grassy opening in the park. The greenery, the lighting, being surrounded by trees. It was nothing short of amazing. Their vows were so heartfelt and honestly I remember all the feels writing this one and a half years later.

After some family and friend group portraits, it was time to head to their reception being hosted at Superior Farms. How special is it to be able to visit sweet animals during the cocktail hour of your day? From cows to donkeys, bunnies and chickens there was no shortage of cute furry and feathery animals.

Dinner and dancing was planned for their greenhouse which made for such a whimsical, intimate atmosphere. Complete with board games and a candy bar for guests. It was a great place to sit and enjoy good company and celebrate the lovely couple. All in all their fall day was just so lovely.

Fall? Forest? Ocean? Animals? Count me in :)
